MOORE PARK ATHLETIC FACILITY

Project Description

MOORE PARK ATHLETIC FACILITY

To commemorate the Orange Bowl 75th Anniversary the Orange Bowl Committee initiated a Legacy Gift to the park in Allapattah where the first Orange Bowl game was played. Thus began a series of Orange Bowl Legacy gifts to the South Florida Community.  The design includes a new synthetic turf field, six lane running track, field event facilities, and bleacher seating for 1,500 spectators.  The building is located on the east side of the field, a linear building with a ceremonial central field entry, above which is a press box with a designated photographer platform.  There are facilities for Home and Away Teams on each side of the entry; coach boxes, restrooms, locker rooms, clubrooms, and concession facilities. Also included is an electronic score board, related signage, competition field lighting, and overall park “branding”.
